While the culture war is not abating, we have positive news to report in this selection of articles, essays, and posts. Despite continue attacks on Western culture and Christianity by the Left, the ruling elite, and the Woke crowd, the efforts of those fighting for traditional morality result in victories over the oppressors. Read the offerings that you find most interesting. It will strengthen your resolve to Stand Firm (cf. Ephesians 6:10-20).

Kansas Legislature Passes Ban on ‘Transgender’ Men Playing Women’s Sports with Veto-Proof Majorities

The Kansas legislature took a major step toward stopping the insane practice of allowing gender-confused biological males to compete in women’s sports because they “identify” as women.

The Kansas legislature has passed a ban on gender-confused individuals participating in sex-specific athletic programs that conflict with their actual sex, this time with enough support to overcome a veto by Democrat Gov. Laura Kelly.

HB 2238, the “Fairness in Women’s Sports” bill, requires interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, and club athletic teams to be designated according to biological sex and prohibits biological males from participating in teams intended for women and girls. Provisions of the bill would also apply to K-12 public schools and any post-secondary institutions.

“This is about fairness in athletic competition,” said Republican state Sen. Renee Erickson, according to the Kansas Reflector. “I’ve heard a lot of, quite frankly, inflammatory accusations and name-calling. We say we don’t like bullying. Name-calling is a hallmark of bullying. Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.”

“If a boy is allowed to take a spot away from any girl, and she doesn’t get that chance to participate, that’s not right,” Erickson added. “The opponents don’t seem concerned about the trophies, placements and championships that are lost by Kansas girls if we don’t pass this.”

As expected, Woke Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has vetoed the bill. Let’s pray that the veto-proof majority holds when the bill returns to the legislature and it becomes the law in Kansas.

Wyoming Passes Bill to Ban Men from Women’s Sports, Becoming 19th State Overall to Do So

Another culture war win, this time in Wyoming as the state bans gender-confused males from competing in women’s sports.

A new bill has passed in the Wyoming state legislature forbidding biological men from competing in women’s sports, thus making Wyoming the 19th state in the country to pass such legislation.

Breitbart reports that the bill will become law without the signature of Governor Mark Gordon (R-Wyo.), who refused to veto it but also would not sign it. In a letter to Secretary of State Chuck Gray (R-Wyo.), Gordon described the legislation as “discriminatory” and “overly draconian.” Gordon also claimed that the bill “pays little attention to fundamental principles of equality.”

“It’s not at all ‘draconian’ or ‘discriminatory’ to limit girls’ athletics to girls,” Schilling said. “In fact, it’s simple common sense that polling shows most Americans agree with. It’s unfortunate some of our leaders have been duped into believing such a policy is somehow controversial.”

Child Mutilation Banned in Tennessee—A Culture War Win

One of the most tragic fronts in the culture war is the transgender push to offer so-called gender-affirming care to young children, including irreversible surgical mutilation and harmful drug routines. Tennessee is one state that has taken a stand against such child abuse.

This new bill protects children from going under the knife and having their healthy reproductive organs mutilated, protects them from being given puberty-blocking hormones, and protects them from medicine that essentially castrates them. The prime victims for these procedures are children who are under the impression that they are in the “wrong” body; that they are actually the opposite sex. This is called “gender dysphoria” and it’s classified as a mental illness. It was most commonly seen in extremely young boys in very small numbers but has exploded, especially in the teen girl demographic due to the power of suggestion through activists and social contagion.

Tennessee Set to Restrict Public Drag Shows

Another culture war win in Tennessee.

I’ve never seen a drag show, nor do I want to. But I’ve read enough descriptions to know that semi-naked, gaudily made-up, twerking men should not be performing their lewd acts in front of children. The Tennessee legislature and governor agree.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has promised to sign a bill that would protect children in the state from exposure to indecent live performances. The Tennessee Senate passed the legislation on Thursday along party lines, and it passed the state House last week. The bill would include “male and female impersonators” in the state’s definition of “adult cabaret performances” that are deemed “harmful to children” as defined by the state’s obscenity law. The legislation would limit adult cabaret—which would now include drag events—to private spaces where no children are present. Nearly a dozen states with Republican-led state legislatures are working on similar bills, but Tennessee could be the first to approve a law.

DeSantis Pulls Hyatt Regency’s Liquor License Following Drag Show with Children Present

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to make waves in the culture war. This time censoring a high-end venue for allowing children to witness a drag show.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis has pulled the liquor license of the Hyatt Regency Miami following news that the luxury hotel hosted a holiday-themed drag show in December with minors present.

During the December break, the high-end hotel hosted “A Drag Queen Christmas” featuring prosthetic genitals, performers rubbing fake breasts on audience members, “simulated masturbation” as well as “graphic depictions of childbirth and/or abortion,” a complaint filed with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) reported.

Despite the nature of the performance, Hyatt Regency Miami did not warn prospective attendees of its explicit nature, insisting that “all ages [were] welcome,” the complaint added.

Following the complaint, the DBPR stated it was “revoking the venue’s license for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages,” a statement from Bryan Griffin, the press secretary of Governor DeSantis, noted. “Sexually explicit content is not appropriate to display to children and doing so violates Florida law. Governor DeSantis stands up for the innocence of children in the classroom and throughout Florida.”

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
