Why did I title this post Big Brother Biden?
Before I answer the question, allow me to define what I mean by “Big Brother.”
Big Brother is the creation of George Orwell in his 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-four and represents the totalitarian government of fictional Oceania and the political party that controls everything. By everything, I mean every facet of one’s life. Ultimately, nothing is outside the reach of Big Brother.
In the novel, citizens are constantly told “Big Brother is watching you.” Video and audio monitoring are omnipresent, even in your own apartment.
Big Brother’s “Ministry of Truth” controlled not only what people heard and read but also to change what was said and written in the past to match the current thinking of the Party.
Thus, the term “Big Brother” represents government control and intrusion into the lives of individual citizens. Big Brother’s surveillance and control of the truth is a hallmark of totalitarian regimes.
Is this the goal of the Biden administration? Is it Joe Biden himself or his handlers from the radical left who are America’s Big Brother? It really doesn’t make a difference. But since Joe is the front man, I will refer to him as Big Brother in this post?
Why Big Brother Biden?
As I observe the Biden administration, a theme that continues to surface is their desire to control and intrude into our lives.
The first blatant attempt to do this surfaced in April 2022, when it came out that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was setting up a Disinformation Governance Board. Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and other critics soon referred to it as the “Ministry of Truth” from Orwell’s novel. We will touch more on the Ministry of Truth below.
There is much more to show how the Biden Administration is becoming Big Brother. We will look at the following besides the Ministry of Truth:
Government by Fiat, including executive orders and department policy changes.
Influencing social media censorship.
Redefining language to suit the Party’s narrative.
Purchase Tracking.
Establishing a Social Credit System.
And Big Brother Biden has the tools he needs to implement the surveillance of Americans. These include the politicized and corrupt Justice Department, including the FBI, Homeland Security (DHS), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Big Brother Biden’s Ministry of Truth
We can understand the creation of the Disinformation Governance Board as part of the Woke assault on America. On April 27 of this year, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told lawmakers that the agency had formed the board to tackle misinformation and disinformation targeting minority communities.
Mayorkas assured his audience, “Our work does not infringe on free speech, infringe on civil rights or civil liberties.” And White House Spokesperson Psaki said during a White House press briefing. “It will operate in a nonpartisan and apolitical manner. It’s basically meant to coordinate a lot of the ongoing work that is happening. . . and the focus is on disinformation and threats to the homeland.”
Despite these assurances, red flags flew.
First, who defines “disinformation?” Is stating that abortion kills an unborn human being disinformation (as Google seems to think given their censorship of pro-life and anti-abortion content)?
Second, the appointment of Nina Jankowicz as the head of the Board raised concerns given her history.
Third, evidence seems to show that the idea for the Board of concocted quickly in response to Elon Musk’s bid to buy Twitter.
Fourth, by April, the Democrats were seriously concerned about the midterm elections. Wouldn’t it be helpful if they quashed what they defined as election disinformation in a timely manner?
Finally, the entire idea of a Ministry of Truth raises questions about its constitutionality as it is a direct attack on free speech.
Because of these concerns and the pushback they generated, just three weeks after they announced the Board, the idea was (or seemed to be) quashed and the Board disbanded.

I guess the desire to implement Orwellian speech control on the American public is too strong for Big Brother to give up.
The administration has announced another version of its “Ministry of Truth,” this time under the guise of an Internet policy task force ostensibly for protecting “political figures” and journalists from “disinformation, abuse, [and] harassment.” The type of “disinformation” this task force will be most focused on protecting against is any opinion expressed by those who refuse to acquiesce to the Rainbow Mafia’s new gendered-language ethics.Also, we can be thankful that the Ministry of Truth has a new leader, Kamala Harris.
Making this new disinformation board into an even bigger joke is the fact that Kamala Harris will be the one leading it. “We still have much more work to do to protect people from online harassment and abuse, which is why the work of this task force is so important,” Harris declared. “The Internet is an essential part of life in the 21st Century. Can’t get around it, can’t get around without it.”
Big Brother Biden Social Media Censorship

Big Brother Biden and his progressive Left buddies love it when social media censors their critics. Following are two examples of how the Biden Administration seeks to use this tool to stifle free speech.
First, an open admission from the administration.
Government officials such as former White House press secretary Jen Psaki have openly admitted to flagging “problematic posts” for Facebook and raising issues with posts on Twitter, the complaint notes, while some of the platforms have acknowledged consulting with government officials on content moderation.
Surely something the Biden Administration is doing raises concerns in the hinterland.
The attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri filed a lawsuit to stop the Biden administration’s “collusion” with Big Tech companies to censor political speech. The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday in a federal district court in Louisiana, asks for a preliminary injunction to stop President Joe Biden and other administration officials from working with or pressuring social media companies to limit political speech.
Attorneys general Jeff Landry of Louisiana and Eric Schmitt of Missouri have asked a federal judge to issue an order that prevents Biden officials “from taking any steps to demand, urge, encourage, pressure, or otherwise induce any company or platform for online speech.”
The lawsuit is the result of efforts by Biden administration officials to get Big Tech companies to censor speech, including information about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines and efforts going back to the 2020 election to get Facebook to censor content from Donald Trump and his team.
Big Brother: Government by Fiat
As of August 5, 2022, President Joe Biden (D) had signed 95 executive orders, 89 presidential memoranda, 289 proclamations, and 57 notices.
Biden has issued executive orders and ordered departmental policy changes to implement policies and programs according to the Woke agenda for America, never mind legislative or citizen input. These orders range from curtailing oil production to forcing schools to adapt to LBGTQ desires, to flaunting the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

The federal government stopped authorizing drilling in many areas completely controlled by the federal government, and simultaneously began to terribly slow-walk permits for activity on land not completely controlled by the federal government. Even private drilling has therefore been severely incapacitated, by this intentional slowdown in the permit process.
This has had two logical results: first, the immediate reduction in production and transportation of petroleum, and second, the tragic but natural movement away from continued exploration and preparation by the oil companies here in the United States.

Big Brother and Purchase Tracking
Just think for a moment about what our government could learn about your lifestyle, habits, preferences, and more if it could track everything you bought?
No, this is not science fiction. Every purchase you make with a credit or debit card can already be tracked, and the technology exists to connect those purchases to a central database.
Okay, I’ll just start using cash to pay for everything.
But what if everyone was required to use a central bank digital currency? You don’t need cash anymore! How convenient! We purchase everything with either a credit card linked to the digital currency or the digital currency itself. This is not as far-fetched as it may seem. And they are already doing it in Norway.
In an executive order issued in March 2022, the White House directed several federal agencies to study the creation of a programmable central bank digital currency. Within 180 days of the order, which falls in mid-September, a report will be issued indicating whether a central bank digital currency should be created in the United States. Although this might sound as though the Biden administration is unsure of what it will do regarding a central bank digital currency, all signs point toward Biden moving to create a new digital dollar.
Presto! Biden’s digital dollar now allows Big Brother to track our buying behavior.
For example, if fully implemented, a traceable digital currency would allow government and the Federal Reserve to have an active database of every gun and ammo purchase made in the United States using digital currency. Government agents would further have the ability to know about every subscription you have, including to various news outlets, the charities and political candidates you’ve given money to, the carbon footprint of your past travel activities, how healthy your diet is, and what you’ve got in your pantry, among many other things. In many respects, citizens using this new digital currency would effectively have no privacy from the government. This could pose numerous other problems related to liberty as well, the most obvious of which is, would the government or Federal Reserve tie punishments or rewards to purchasing behavior? Would they put limits on what could or couldn’t be purchased using a digital currency?
Big Brother Biden Adopts China’s Social Credit System
China has been working since 2014 to impose a social credit system on its population that monitors, rewards, and punishes people according to how much their behavior conforms to government mandates. In contrast to China, the U.S. government is restrained from imposing social credit criteria on Americans due to its tradition of constitutional liberties and representative lawmaking.
Beijing’s use of consumer data, biometric information, GPS tracking coordinates, facial recognition, DNA, and other forms of data harvesting has turned, and continues to turn, China into a beast never before seen worldwide, not even under Mao or Stalin. In China, the tools of surveillance capitalism are employed by the surveillance state to administer the so-called social credit system, which determines who is allowed to buy, sell, and travel, based on their social behavior. Big Brother Biden Redefines Language to Reflect the Party’s Thought
In Orwell’s novel, they redefined language to support Big Brother’s agenda. So, we get “War is Peace,” “Freedom is Slavery.” And “ignorance is Strength.” Scary as it is, the same thing is happening right now before our eyes and ears.
The left and its allies in the media have long manipulated the meaning of words for political advantage. For instance, “illegal aliens” became “undocumented workers” in most news stories about a decade ago. But the war on words has been escalating as the left presses LGBTQ+ rights and seeks to obscure the reality of a Biden recession.
And the Biden Administration is no exception, changing language to suit its needs.
The White House website claims that “official determinations of recessions and economists’ assessment of economic activity are based on a holistic look at the data” factoring in a wide array of variables beyond negative growth rates.
This, despite the accepted definition of “two straight quarters of economic contraction” is a recession.
Another example, per the White House, we have replaced “Gender Dysphoria” with “Gender Affirming” to make sure we do not offend any man who thinks he is a woman or any woman who thinks she is a man.
While not officially part of the Administration, but reflecting its thinking, at Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination hearing, she stated she couldn’t define what a woman is because she is not a biologist.

How will Big Brother Biden enforce his will upon Americans? One doesn’t need to look too far to see the powerful enforcement weapons at his disposal. These are the Department of Justice, especially the FBI, Ministry of Truth, and the newly empowered IRS.
Department of Justice
The Department of Justice is compromised and being used as a tool by Big Brother. The most egregious example of the weaponization of the FBI is the recent unprecedented raid on former President Trump’s personal residence at Mir-a-lago, Florida. And there is evidence that Biden was aware of the raid before it happened.
Senator Josh Hawley (R., MO) captures the reaction of many both on the Right and Left.
“The raid by Joe Biden’s FBI on the home of a former president who is also Biden’s chief political opponent is an unprecedented assault on democratic norms and the rule of law,” Hawley tweeted on Tuesday. “Biden has taken our republic into dangerous waters.”
Internal Revenue Service
The recently passed “Inflation Reduction Act” allows the IRS to add 87,000 new agents.
Many are concerned that they will become additional weapons in Big Brother’s arsenal.
So, What Does This Mean for You and Me?
First, we cannot allow the progressive left to control the House and Senate after the midterm elections. If they do, Big Brother Biden’s regime will become more and more totalitarian.
