It is time for some good news. The culture war rages, but God is in control and there is good news to rejoice about.
NHL May Scrap Pride Night After Players Refuse to Wear Pro-LGBT Jerseys
Because of Christian men willing to stand up for their values amid cultural decay, the National Hockey League reconsiders the value of hosting “pride night.”
Thanks to a growing number of players and teams deciding not to wear LGBT-themed jerseys this year, the NHL may discontinue Pride Nights altogether.
“I think it’s something that we’re going to have to evaluate in the offseason,” league commissioner Gary Bettman said in an interview with CTV News in Ottawa this week. It’s “become more of a distraction now.”
Unlike other professional sports, hockey has shown an unusually strong resistance to the woke agenda. According to the Daily Caller, the New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks, and Minnesota Wild all decided to not host Pride Night games this season.
The most high-profile instance of a player refusing to bow to the LGBT agenda was Ivan Provorov of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Provorov set off a flurry of anti-Christian commentary in the sports world for citing his Russian Orthodox beliefs as to why he sat out pregame warmups that would’ve required him to wear a rainbow-colored jersey.
World Athletics Bans Transgender Athletes from Competing in Female Sports
Common sense prevails as World Athletics understands gender confused men, thinking they are women, cannot fairly compete with biological women. World Athletics — the international governing body for track and field and other running-related sports — announced Thursday it would not allow transgender athletes to compete against women.
The ban, set to be implemented next week, will prohibit “male-to-female transgender athletes who have been through male puberty” from facing off against women in female sports, the BBC reported.
Kentucky Republicans Override Democrat Governor’s Veto on Child ‘Sex Change’ Ban
In Kentucky, the legislature stood firm in rejecting the Woke governor’s veto of a law banning gender-affirming child abuse.
The Kentucky legislature on Wednesday overrode a veto by Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear of a bill prohibiting the gender “transitioning” of minors as well as the promotion or indulgence of gender-fluid ideology in public schools, making the new rules law despite his objections.
On Friday, Beshear vetoed S.B. 150, which forbids minors from being subjected to surgical or chemical “sex change” interventions, requires medical providers to wean minors off of already-dispensed puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones, prohibits classroom discussion of sexual or gender identity, discourages state education officials from implementing or recommending “gender-affirming” policies such as using “preferred pronouns” or hiding transitions from parents, and restricts school restrooms and lockers to the correct sex.
The left-wing governor claimed that the bill “rips away the freedom of parents to make medical decisions for their children,” euphemistically referring to mutilating “sex change,” procedures, and “turns educators and administrators into investigators that must listen in on student conversations and then knock on doors to confront and question parents and families about how students behave and/or refer to themselves or others.”
On Wednesday, however, the Kentucky Senate voted 29-8 to override Beshear’s veto, and the Kentucky House voted 76-23 to do the same, Just the News reports.
“We cannot allow people to continue down the path of fantasy, to where they’re going to end up 10, 20, 30 years down the road and find themselves miserable from decisions that they made when they were young,” said Republican state Rep. Shane Baker.
Ugandan Parliament Passes ‘Anti-Homosexuality Bill,’ Infuriating the Pro-LGBT West
Kudos to the nation of Uganda for rejecting the subversive LGBTQ agenda being pimped by the Biden administration and other Western nations.
The Christian-majority country of Uganda voted to strengthen its commitment to Biblical marriage and sexuality this week by passing legislation that further criminalizes sodomy and other depraved behaviors.
On Tuesday, the African nation unanimously passed the “Anti-Homosexuality Bill.” President Yoweri Museveni called on Parliament to support the measure earlier this month, stating at the time that the pro-LGBT West should “stop wasting the time of humanity by imposing their social practices on us.”
40 States Have Passed or Introduced Bills to Restrict Transgender Child Abuse
Common sense responses to the transgender loving Biden administration. This gives me hope we can stop the abusive so-called “gender affirming care” that is harming so many of our children.
We undoubtedly are in the middle of one of the largest legislative pushes against child abuse in our nation’s history. This child abuse, masquerading as “gender-affirming care,” has been taken up as a banner of humanity by progressives over the past five years—and they encourage children to mutilate their own bodies if the kids feel they’ve been born in the wrong one.
In many cases, public schools have begun hiding gender transition information from students’ parents, with activist groups claiming that a child’s transition must be protected at all costs and demonizing disagreeing parents as “abusive.”
Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been outraged at shocking videos and other images of permanently scarred children who have undergone “transgender treatments” as adults encouraged those children to abandon all reason in the pursuit of affirmation.
In response, 40 state legislatures have passed or introduced legislation to restrict the practice of transgender child abuse. Although 10 states currently ban transgender experiments on minors, 21 others are considering legislation that would ban minors from receiving transgender hormonal “treatments” or surgery.
