Man, Afraid of Upcoming Surgery Tries to Pay for Wife’s Cake Early, Shop Refuses His Money and Makes a Deal Instead

This story of a man’s love for his wife and the love of other Christians for him had me in tears. Read it and see if it touches you as it did me.

A man who walked into a bakery, determined to pay for his wife’s birthday cake early since he was scheduled for a risky surgery, never expected the kind and overwhelming response he would receive.

73-year-old Keith Hall walked into Cupcake Café on St. Joe Plaza Drive in Palm Coast, Florida, in late February to pre-book a cake for his wife’s birthday and had an interaction with the owner, Theresa Tazewell.

“He initially asked me if I deliver, and I said unfortunately I don’t,” Tazewell told The Epoch Times. “He said that might be problematic, and I said, ‘Why is that?’ He said, ‘Because I might not be here.’ I’m nosy, so I had to ask him why. … He was extremely reluctant to tell me what was going on.

Police Officer Working at Walmart Steps Up When Man Can’t Pay for Groceries

Every day our police officers’ risk their lives every day to protect us.  Yet they are often spit upon and maligned. Here is a story about how one of our finest went beyond the call of duty. And, by the way, the officer involved is a Christian.

While shopping at Walmart with his four kids, a man couldn’t get his credit card to work. There was no need for security to get involved. But Mike Kelly felt God calling him to do something. So, the kind police officer bought groceries for the man and his family! Mike Kelly is a police officer in Cleveland, Tennessee. He usually works as a school resource officer, but he also started picking up some extra hours working security at the local Walmart.

While on-duty at Walmart one evening, he noticed a man at the checkout with his four kids. His cart contained eighty dollars’ worth of groceries, but for whatever reason, the man’s credit card just wasn’t working.

“I’m looking down at the little girl,” Mike recalls, “And the little girl’s looking up to her dad. And I look in the thing and it’s just Ramen noodles. And I don’t know if it’s a financial thing or if it’s just the card just didn’t work.”

Little Gentleman Learns to Treat Women Respectfully by Being an Amazing Big Brother to His 3 Sisters

In our current culture, this is aberrant behavior. But it is proper behavior for people who respect others. Kudos to this young man and his mom for going against the grain.

A proud mom of four is sharing how her little son is developing respect for women through his kind, caring relationship with his three little sisters.

‘Dear Jesus, Please Help Them’: Meteorologist Credited with Saving Lives After Viral, on-Air Prayer to God as Deadly Tornado Hit

TV News is not the place you expect to hear prayers. Yet this Christian meteorologist prayed rather than hide his faith from those watching. The results were miraculous.

But WTVA-TV Chief Meteorologist Matt Laubhan’s now-viral invocation is also being credited with saving lives, as residents of the small town of Amory, Mississippi, heard it moments before a deadly tornado hit.

“So, Amory, we need to be in our tornado-safe place. We’ve got a new scan coming in here as we speak,” he said during an on-air report Friday night before pausing, looking down, and letting out a worried sigh as he saw the real-time severity. “Oh man, like, north side of Amory, this is coming in. Oh, man.”

Then Laubhan stopped to seek God in the middle of his report, proclaiming, “Dear Jesus, please help them. Amen.”

‘Great Peace in Jesus’: Kelsey Grammer Gets Real About His Faith Journey with Jesus

It is always encouraging when a celebrity opens up about their relationship with Christ.

Actor Kelsey Grammer is probably best known to audiences as Frasier Crane, the character he portrayed on the television series “Frasier” and “Cheers” for 20 years. But in a recent interview, he has spoken openly about his deep Christian faith and “the difference Jesus made in his life.”

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4–7 ESV)
