It is time for some good news to begin your week. Yes, the culture war rages. But God is still in control and there is much good news to rejoice about.

10 Things We Got Right in 50 Years of Marriage

Marsha and I celebrated our 54th anniversary in December. I didn’t write this post, but we can identify with every one of these 10 things, Plus one more, even when Marsha is wrong, she is right.

Aging for God’s Glory

I’m now 73 years old and continue to do all I can to serve the kingdom of God. This article provides more insight and encouragement for us as we age.

God’s view of aging is not the same as ours. Though we tend to pair aging with a loss of effectiveness, the psalmist recognizes that, for the righteous, aging can be a time of increased flourishing and influence. While youth can often rely on personality strengths and skills, old age tends to strip away these outward displays and reveal a person’s inner strength of character—the same character that’s been there all along but is perhaps more noticeable now that the vain glories of youth have passed.

‘Miss Patty’ Has Made 7,000 Hats for the Students That Ride Her Bus

A beautiful story of giving of oneself for others. Read and enjoy. Maybe, find a ministry for yourself.

Many employees of school systems leave behind important memories with their students, but for bus driver Patty Reitz, she principally leaves behind a memory of friendship, and warm ears.

Known as Miss Patty, the Clarence Central School District bus driver has crocheted 7,083 hats over three decades of service for the students and the school.

Christian Quarterbacks Lead Both Super Bowl Teams

I live in Kansas City. MO and am an avid Chiefs fan. But even more exciting is that the two Super Bowl quarterbacks, exceptional athletes, are also Christians and are outspoken about their faith.

As I am writing this, the Chiefs have taken a 35 – 27 lead in the 4th quarter.

Jalen Hurts lost his starting quarterback job under the glare of college football’s brightest spotlight after leading the University of Alabama to two national championship games. Still, his faith in Christ helped him handle it with grace and class.

PostScript: I am doing the final editing of this post after celebrating the Chief’s 38-35 victory! The two best NFL teams faced off today in a matchup for the ages.

5 Celebrities Who Aren’t Afraid of Being Christian

Being open about your Christian faith in Hollywood is not very popular.

This post highlights 5 celebrities who confess Christ.

Within Hollywood, we often think of all celebrities as being secular or anti-Christianity. Since much of the media is against the Bible and God, it’s hard to believe there are any celebrities who are Christians. While the majority of celebrities are not Christians, there are a minority of celebrities who are Christians, and they aren’t ashamed of their faith in Jesus.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4–7 ESV)
