Iowa Diocese Bans Transgender Pronouns, Cross-Dressing in Catholic Schools, and Ministries

We begin with positive news. I applaud the Roman Catholic Diocese of Iowa for taking a courageous stand against the god-denying transgender ideology infecting our culture. This is something all Christian churches should emulate.

On Monday, a Catholic diocese in Iowa enacted its “Gender Identity Guide and Policies,” prohibiting the use of “preferred pronouns” and cross-dressing on diocesan property while emphasizing the need to offer genuine assistance and compassion for those struggling with gender dysphoria.

The Diocese of Des Moines finalized seven policies on January 13, which promote a response to the ongoing “gender identity” crisis grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

NIH Spending Millions to Promote LGBT, Equity, Other Diversity Initiatives

Now, the other side of this culture war fight. Our tax-dollars being used to bolster the LGBTQ agenda.

As the National Institutes of Health (NIH) gains even more funding from Congress, the agency is spending less time, money, and effort on researching the cures for various diseases, and instead promoting diversity initiatives to the tune of millions of taxpayer dollars.

In addition to spending money on race-based research, the NIH has also provided funding for research into LGBT-based health issues. In 2012 and 2013, the NIH spent a total of $432,000 on a study of the gay dating app Grindr.

Top EU Bureaucrat Predicts Hate-Speech Laws Coming to U.S.

Scary but not surprising. What is happening in many European nations is already in motion in the United States. Beginning with the Obama administration and resurrected by the Biden administration, government attempts to control speech on social media are well documented. And the Biden folks attempted to create a government disinformation board to monitor our speech. They have shelved it for the time being, but it will be back.

Even more disturbing. In Britain, a woman was they jailed a woman for praying silently outside an abortion clinic. Just recently, the police arrested a military veteran and fined him for the same offense. Hate talk is becoming hate prayer, even when silent in the wrong place, according to thought controllers.

A top European Union bureaucrat on Tuesday predicted that laws prohibiting so-called hate speech, which have already been implemented across Europe, will soon be imposed in the United States.

“Illegal hate speech, which you will have soon also in the U.S. I think that we have a strong reason why we have this in the criminal law,” Věra Jourová, vice president for values and transparency at the European Commission, said at the World Economic Forum. The European Commission is the executive arm of the EU.

The Real History Behind the ‘Separation of Church and State?’ Inside the Contentious Phrase and Thomas Jefferson’s Intent

Much of the culture war revolves around the “Separation of Church and State.” When Thomas Jefferson used that phrase, he meant nothing like we understand it, or rather misunderstood today. If you don’t read any other article linked in this post, please read this one.

One of the most pervasive phrases in the sociopolitical lexicon is “the separation of church and state,” an expression many mistakenly believe is present word-for-word in the U.S. Constitution.

The phrase is from a letter; it’s not in the Constitution, like everybody seemed to assume. It’s from a letter written on Jan. 1 of 1802 by Thomas Jefferson [to] a group from Danbury, Connecticut.

That group had written Jefferson expressing concern “they were going to be … told what to teach, what to preach.”

Jefferson, then the third President of the United States, told them in his reply they had nothing to worry about and that the government didn’t have the power to tell them what to do in their house of worship. (emphasis mine)

No Matter What They Say on Any Other Issue, Democrats Are the Infanticide Party Now

I know this is not true of everyone who votes Democrat. I have many pro-life friends who are Democrats. Perhaps they don’t know where their party stands on abortion and infanticide. This article shows why the Democrats are the “Party of Death.”

Wednesday’s passage of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act in the House of Representatives elicited a predictable yet inexplicable chorus of criticism from pro-abortion Democrats.

Ironically, it’s the leftists in the abortion industry who represent the most extreme positions on any of the hot-button issues in America today. In fact, the NRA supports more restrictions on guns than leftists do on abortion. Abortion zealots are absolute in their defense of a so-called right to terminate the life of children in the womb. They’re supporting infanticide and don’t even apologize for doing so.

The 210 Democrats who voted against medical care for newborn babies hold an inhumane, inconceivable and indefensible position. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Ore., who voted against the bill, called the legislation “extremist, dangerous and unnecessary.”

Try telling that to the newborn baby struggling to breathe on a table after almost being aborted.

I must ask: What’s so extreme about wanting to require doctors to treat a baby?

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.  (Ephesians 6:10–13 ESV)
