Paul writes, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way” (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
My Personal Thoughts About Our Government Leaders
To be clear, I stand against…
- Every politician that is for abortion-on-demand.
- Those who cater to the demands of the LBGTQ crowd.
- Any who want to replace “freedom of religion,” with “freedom of worship.”
- Those who advocate teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT).
- And more…
Many of our elected officials proudly adhere to the things I find deplorable.
But…
What I think does not allow me to ignore God’s explicit command to pray for them!
Therefore, I pray for our President, Vice-President, Governor, Senators, Congresspeople, Mayor, and other officials.
And I encourage you to do the same.
What to pray?
Qaoud suggests:
- Health
- Wisdom & Discernment.
- Success in things that honor God, failure in things that don’t.
I add:
- They would come to an accurate knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- That God would change their hearts and minds on moral and ethical issues.
