‘All a Part of His Plan’: NFL Star Powerfully Praises God After Painful, Season-Ending Injury

Many people would look on a season-ending injury as devastating. Not this NFL quarterback who knows God is in control.

Lance, who sustained the injury Sunday during a game against the Seattle Seahawks, took to social media Tuesday to share his faith and an update for fans.

The NFL star posted an image of him lying in a hospital bed smiling and making a peace sign. His right foot and leg cast can be seen in the photo as well.

Lance opened the post with text from Romans 8:18. The verse reads, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (NIV).

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4–7 ESV)
