Sexualization of Children

Sexualization of Children

In the last post of this series will consider what is being done and what we can do to resist and stop the sexualization of children.

The War on Children is real and intensifying. We can interconnect many culture war fronts with the War on Children. Undermining parental rights, the LGBTQ agenda including grooming and transgender activism; education wars, including Critical Race Theory, the false history of the 1619 Project, woke and leftist teachers; and the sexualization of our children, including pedophilia.

The first post in this series I looked at the history of the war on children, defined it and the objectives of this attack on our children, identified the aggressors, and introduced the battlefronts in this war.

In the second post we considered how the war on children is being waged in education, primarily in our public schools.

The third post showed how parental rights are under attack from public school indoctrination, state, local and the federal governments.

In the fourth post, we waded through the muck of the most evil and insidious threat in the war on children, aggressive attempts to sexualize our children and grandchildren.

Protecting Our Children—A Christian Mandate

10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 18:10 ESV)

Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus spoke these words to a culture that didn’t value children.

The ancient church took this command seriously, condemning abortion, rescuing newborns left in the elements to die, and adopting orphans. From its beginning, Christianity has recognized the importance of protecting the most vulnerable among us, the children.

Now, more than ever, children need our protection. Consider what we have documented in prior posts:

  • The Biden administration pushing and supporting the transgender and LGBTQ agendas to the extent of mandating so called “gender affirming care” which amounts to the abuse and mutilation of children.
  • Public schools buying into the same perverted understanding of sexuality and even denying parents the right to make the right choices for their children.
  • An increase in pedophilia and more voices calling for its normalization.

It is time to step up and stop this madness!

What Parents & Grandparents Can Do to Stop the Sexualization of Children
  • Be informed and share the information with others. You can do this by following this blog, where I regularly post articles related to the war on children. Also, follow the links to the articles I quote and consider subscribing to those sources for more information.
  • Know what is going on at your kid’s school. Talk with your children about what they are being taught. Attend school board meetings and state your concerns in a civil, but forceful manner. Demand to know what the schools are teaching your children.
  • Know what your kids are doing on social media and who their friends are.
  • If your child shows signs of gender dysphoria, real or induced by social media, their peers, or their schools, seek Bible-based Christian counsel. Your pastor can help or direct you to appropriate counselors.
  • Encourage your pastors and youth leaders to be aware of what is happening in our culture and become involved in protecting our children.
  • Support anti-woke legislation and politicians. We need people who care about our children and take a stand against the transgender, LGBTQ mobs as our leaders.

What follows is a sampling of what is being done and we can do to protect stop the sexualization of children.

Parents Taking a Stand Against the Sexualization of Children

As parents are realizing these threats to their children, they are taking action to stop it.

Parental Backlash Against Drag Shows for Children Is Growing—and Bringing Legislation

Here is one example of what parents can do.

On the evening of February 14, a group of parents protested the “Love it or Leave It Drag Show” at a non-alcoholic geek bar called The Bronze Dragon in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The show had been advertised specifically to young people—an “all ages” show—and the parents who showed up with signs to express their disapproval are part of a growing, wider backlash to sexualized entertainment aimed at children.

Protestor Larry Schneider explained to the press that his concern is with young people. “We just feel that children are very impressionable, and so the fact that they’re being influenced by adults in an otherwise adult setting, in our opinion, is inappropriate,” he said. The Valentine’s Day show was part of The Bronze Dragon’s grand opening and featured cross-dressing men.

This parental backlash is already having an effect. Laws to restrict these shows have been put forward in eight states, with 14 bills being introduced in Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. We expect bills to be put forward soon in Idaho and Montana.

‘Listen to the Parents’: 11-Year-Old Boy Confronts School Board by Reading ‘Pornographic’ Book in Library

In this report, we learn about how an 11-year-old boy spoke before the school board to make them aware of the pornographic materials he found in the school library.

An 11-year-old boy from Maine confronted the people who lead his district last month, reading aloud an excerpt from the “pornographic” content on the library shelves at Windham Middle School. On Feb. 15, Knox Zajac told the Windham Raymond School Board he checked out “Nick and Charlie” by Alice Oseman. He found the book, he recalled, on a display stand on a shelf in the library.

After the sixth grader finished speaking, his father, Adam Zajac, addressed the school board.

“This is the smut that he is finding,” the father said of his young, impressionable son. “I don’t care whether it’s gay, straight, bisexual — whatever the terms are for all this stuff — [it] doesn’t need to be at our school. It doesn’t need to be at my 11-year-old’s library.”

“Listen to the parents,” he admonished district authorities. “[I] will be more than happy to focus my time and effort to the security of my child and children in this school.”

He continued, “I will be a thorn in your sides. I just want you to be aware of what you’ve awoken.”

State Legislation to Stop the Sexualization of Children

Many states are stepping up and taking legislative action to stop the sexualization of children. Here are some examples and I urge you to contact your State representatives and tell them they need to do the same to protect our children.

Tennessee Set to Restrict Public Drag Shows

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has promised to sign a bill that would protect children in the state from exposure to indecent live performances. The Tennessee Senate passed the legislation on Thursday along party lines, and it passed the state House last week. The bill would include “male and female impersonators” in the state’s definition of “adult cabaret performances” that are deemed “harmful to children” as defined by the state’s obscenity law. The legislation would limit adult cabaret—which would now include drag events—to private spaces where no children are present. Nearly a dozen states with Republican-led state legislatures are working on similar bills, but Tennessee could be the first to approve a law.

Child Mutilation Banned in Tennessee

The latest step that Tennessee has taken toward protecting children from making life-ruining decisions occurred on Thursday. The State House passed a bill banning sex-change procedures in a 77-16 vote. Governor Bill Lee, who has made positive noises about the legislation, is expected to sign the bill.

This bill sprung into existence in response to some disturbing videos and offerings from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Political pundit Matt Walsh systematically exposed VCMU’s pediatric gender clinic in a series of social media posts. In October 2022, VCMU paused all such surgeries after being questioned by Tennessee Republican lawmakers.

Tate Reeves Shows Governors the Way, Stands for Protecting Kids from Dangerous Transgender Ideology

It is worth taking the time to read this article. The Mississippi Governor’s comments make a strong case for protecting our children from such abuse.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (R) didn’t just sign a bill on Tuesday protecting children from harmful drugs and surgeries that accompany a gender transition. He also offered a lengthy, well-reasoned defense of the legislation and then competently defended his conservative position against the media’s attacks.

Reeves framed the debate in terms of an ideological battle over objective truth and basic biology. One side affirms young people in their own bodies, he said, while the other side promises to make kids happy by cutting them up. He called out gender transition procedures for the brutal distortions they are, and he did not shrink back from condemning the lies and censorship of the activists and media that euphemize them. He exposed the scientific poverty behind gender transition procedures, including a lack of FDA approval, a host of side effects, the weaknesses of supporting medical studies, and the recent about-face progressive European countries have taken. He pointed out the illogic of making irreversible decisions based upon the feelings of individuals afflicted by the confusion of puberty and the presence of other mental health struggles, particularly when so many other major decisions are age restricted.

States Line Up to Protect Youth from Transgender Wave

Read the article for all the details.

More than 20 states across the country are considering bills that would protect minors from hormone treatments and transgender surgeries, which can cause irreversible damage. Now 21, Hein has testified before lawmakers about how she felt rushed into a gender transition process she later came to regret.

Virginia House Passes Bill Prohibiting Teachers from Hiding Students’ Gender Identity from Parents

In many school districts, it is common for teachers be told to hide a child’s gender identity issues from their parents. Virginia has taken action to quash this violation of parental rights.

The Virginia House on Tuesday passed legislation that would require teachers to inform parents if their child is identifying as a gender that doesn’t align with their sex. The “Minor students experiencing gender incongruence; parental notification” act, which passed the chamber 50-48, requires any person licensed as an administrative or instructional personnel by the state Board of Education and employed by a local school board to notify at least one parent if a student is self-identifying as a gender different from his/her biological sex.

Rep. Greene to Reintroduce Bill Banning Transgender Procedures on Minors

Action is also being taken at the federal level.

The bill, which Greene introduced in August during the last Congress, would bar sex transitions or other medical interventions on minors with gender dysphoria.

The summary of the bill reads that the bill “places restrictions on the provision of gender affirming care. Gender affirming care includes performing surgery, administering medication, or performing other procedures for the purpose of changing the body of an individual to correspond to a sex that differs from the individual’s biological sex.”

Specifically, the bill makes it a felony to perform such procedures on a minor and allows those who do so to face civil liability.

Doctors Who Know the Truth Take a Stand Against the Sexualization of Children

Doctors who prescribe drugs to assist in gender transition and perform mutilating surgeries are cashing in on the transgender bandwagon. Fortunately, many physicians know this is wrong and will take a stand against this form of child abuse.

Doctors fight federal rule prescribing transgender ideology

The lawsuit says the administration policy violates healthcare workers’ rights of conscience and free speech. The rule asserts that physicians who tell patients that all “transition-related treatment” is dangerous or experimental are expressing views that are “outdated and not based on current standards of care.” The plaintiffs argue that, under the rule, doctors are not permitted to express concerns that transgender interventions can cause permanent and irreversible damage. They also cannot inform patients that some people later regret undergoing transgender interventions.

Major Association of US Doctors Makes Official Statement on Transgender Procedures for Minors

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is warning about “unknown and unknowable long-term risks” it says are inherent to “gender-affirming care” in minors, adding that the consequences of gender transition surgery are irreversible.

“Gender-affirming” procedures include so-called puberty blockers, sex hormones, and surgery, such as castration, penectomy, and mastectomy, the nonpartisan professional association noted in its Feb. 20 official statement outlining its stance on “gender-affirming care” for children.

The AAPS warns that gender transition procedures are “generally irreversible and have a high probability of causing sterilization.” The procedures also “commit a patient to a lifelong need for medical, surgical, and psychological care.”

Christian Couple Tackle ‘Demonic Push’ Against Biblical Definition of Gender in New Children’s Book

To fight back against what they see as a “demonic” attack on the biblical definition of gender and sexuality, a Christian couple has written a book teaching young girls to embrace and celebrate their God-given identity as females.

She is She, written by husband-and-wife duo Ryan and Bethany Bomberger, uses rhymes and colorful illustrations to “counter the lies of gender spectrum politics and illuminate the beauty of what a girl is.”
