Euthanasia in Quebec: Seamless Service at a Friendly Funeral Parlor

Assisted suicide deaths in Canada have risen steadily since it became legal in 2016. That year, 1,018 people chose euthanasia. In 2022, the number was close to 14,000, a 35% increase over 2021. In Quebec, 7% of all deaths were assisted suicides, making it the third top cause of death in the province after cancer and heart disease.

Canada’s fall into euthanasia shows the cost of devaluing human life.

In Quebec, the number of cases of euthanasia has risen from 63 in 2015-2016 to 3663 in 2021-2022. Nowadays, many patients find it difficult to find a place where they can receive the lethal injection.

A funeral director in Quebec has come up with a novel solution. Clients of the Haut-Richelieu funeral home use one of his rooms to die in and are then transported to the workshop for embalming and placement in a casket. It is a seamless service.

Vermont Becomes America’s First Assisted Suicide Tourism State

In the U.S. ten states and the District of Columbia allow assisted suicide. Until recently, you had to be a resident of the state. Vermont no longer requires this. Maybe the lawmakers of the Green Mountain State are looking for ways to entice more visitors.

The state of Vermont has become the first state in the United States to allow non-residents to end their lives by assisted suicide.

Under the ‘Patient Choice and Control at the End of Life Act 2013’, Vermont permits doctors to prescribe drugs for self-administration to mentally competent patients thought to be suffering from a terminal illness and likely to die within six months.

However, as of 2 May, Vermont lawmakers removed the requirement that a person seeking assisted suicide must be a state resident. Now, people from outside of Vermont can end their lives by assisted suicide within the state if they fulfill the other criteria.

American Medical Association Pledges to Work With Activists to Push ‘Youth’ Sex

Wait a minute! I thought physicians took a pledge to “Do No Harm.”

The resolution updates the AMA’s policy on “Medical Necessity for Treatment of Gender Dysphoria” by stating that surgeries and other treatments are medically necessary for gender incongruence rather than merely for gender dysphoria; gender incongruence is the sense of one’s gender identity not matching their biological sex and body, and dysphoria is the discomfort that arises from that condition, according to the resolution.

The AMA is also either ignoring or ignorant of what other countries are doing to curb questionable and dangerous treatments and surgeries.

Thank God the mom referred to in this article was with her children as they browsed the shelves of their public library.

Oh, look, it’s another one of those books that Democrats absolutely demand be made available to children. All it does is push little kids to “defy” the “ridiculous rules” of gender norms — because they cause “depression”!

A friend of mine took her two young children — a boy, 6, and a girl, 4 — to the Indianapolis Public Library, Glendale branch, this week and let them pick out some books from the kids’ section. It wasn’t until she got home that among the ones chosen by her daughter, who hasn’t yet learned to read, was Tabitha and Magoo Dress Up Too, a colorful picture book by Michelle Tea, the creator of “drag queen story hour.”
